Welcome to NangO

NangO is an online bunch of gaming friends, not a clan per se, formed by 7 original members, we created NangO to be a community a people who get along, have fun and play for a laugh not medals or ranks.

We play Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty + United Offensive and Battlefield 2/Special Forces, 2142 & Project Reality. We're up for scrims in any of these games so if you fancy a fight give Gray a PM or complete our Vwar challenge.

We do recruit, but very selectively, so if you fancy joining us the only specific criteria we have is you must be over 21, so if you do fancy joining the orange fold the best way is to get yourself onto our servers, onto our Teamspeak and get to know our members, you may get spotted and may get invited, especially when Gray gets pissed. A word of warning Diving out of a server before an admin can kick/ban you is no protection. If you arse around then leave we will simply get your details from the log files and, as you have forced us into to putting more effort into it, we will ban you permanently from our servers. NangO servers are popular enough and there are plenty of people to take your place, so be sensible, abide by the rules and don't try to be a clever dick.

Blank PBSS

Dear guests to the NangO servers, From Monday 24th December 2007, NangO will implement a new policy on blank PBSS (Punkbuster Screenshots) that are returned. If you only return blank screenshots then you will no longer be allowed to play on our servers i.e. you will be banned off the servers until you can return valid screenshots. Here is an example: pb000015.png ( 3.65k ) Number of downloads: 0 Underneath the red block is where your GUID and player would be, we blank this out as not to imply that this person is cheating. If the attempting and resulting section is visible and (B1) is indicated just below the screenshot, then the screenshot attempt was valid and should show a players screen. If the attempting and resulting section is replaced with "Null GL pixels read, application not active", then you can ignore those screenshots. There have been problems with Windows Vista 32/64 returning blank screenshots in the past but the majority of these have been resolved. If you wish to check whether you return blank screenshots, in the game press the tilde key (the one to the left of the number 1 on your keyboard) to open the console and type: CODE /pb_sssave 1 This will send all server requested screenshots to your local hardrive, the default path is the <game>/pb/svss folder, if you are returning blank screenshots there are a few things that you can do to try and remedy the situation: Turn off anti-aliasing in the graphic options of the game Update your GFX drivers to the latest version If that fails, try previous version of your GFX drivers Try 3rd party drivers such as Omega Alter you graphics settings, testing less/more textures, screen size etc... As a final resort consider changing your GFX card Although this may seem like an extreme measure, it is unacceptable for members and visitors alike who do produce valid, viewable screenshots to confirm they are not cheating on our servers, to have to play alongside people who we cannot validate. This does not mean we think you are cheating, it means we cannot validate your screenshots and until we can, you will not be able to play on our servers. If we can help to resolve your blank screenshot problem then we will and additional help may be found at the PunksBusted website at www.punksbusted.com.
